“Inversions” is an exhibition of new large-scale drawings and relief prints by Adrian Gor that focus on the notion of truth from a contemporary postmodern perspective. The title refers to a world in which truth and illusion, history and the present became interchangeable, incorporating key Western thinkers and Eastern European iconographic techniques of art making.

Title: "Droning in Ecstasy" Linocut, 2019 Québec, Canada
The image is composed of a reception of old and new symbols such as the transfigured body of christ from old master's works and drone machines. like with the body of christ, the drone machine symbolizes the desire to overcome human nature and see the world all at once. thus, the work proposes that the medieval equivalence of a drone is christ or "god's eye view."
The work does not have a narrative in a modern sense, however it merges the symbols through the movement of lines that may suggest a state of ecstasy. it invites for reflecting on how human desire for omnipresence manifest over time.
The Ottawa School of Art was pleased to present the Eighth International Miniature Print exhibition from October 19 to November 22 2020. The show brought together artists from around the world who have responded to the call for submissions and we have an excellent exhibition with 355 works by 135 artists from 21 different countries.
An invited jury of three art professionals with printmaking expertise, Guillermo Trejo – Instructor for OSA, Sam Loewen – Creative Director, Studio Sixtysix – Contemporary Art Gallery Farouk Kaspaules – Instructor for OSA, will be asked to select one print from five categories: Relief, Intaglio, Lithography, Screen Print, and New Media, while OSA’s Executive Director, Jeff Stellick chose one – Director’s Pick. OSA will purchase the six selected prints and they will become part of OSA’s permanent art collection. The artists whose work is selected will have their entry fees waived for the ninth miniature print biennale exhibition in 2022 and their selected print will be featured prominently in the gallery, in the exhibition catalogue, and online at artottawa.ca
